Owned a couple S2's, my 1969 the local vintage Lotus shop said was the nicest they'd ever seen. It was. Down to the last screw and nut. But THIS one is on another level. Ahhhhhh.....thank you.

To most Europas are pug ugly. I get that. My '70 S2, on the rural Eastern Shore of Maryland, was mistaken for a tiny 'El Camino' style pickup truck (as opposed to the usual 'bread-van' analogy). But a properly sorted one makes an Elise or Exige feel big, bloated, and cumbersome. Driving an Europa is truly a revelation.

I’ve always seen them as true beauties. Ours named “Black Beauty”

500 lbs lighter than an awkward Elise.

That is another great Lotus video. The owner is on here (@Spence) and had a sweet Esprit featured a couple of years ago. I wonder if he still owns that car too...
