Who has driven one? A friend is thinking of getting one as a track vehicle soon and I wonder how people think the Elise will do against it, but it's hard to compare without the Fed car.

I did get my first exposure to the Miata last night and it was quite fun. It was able to keep with a race prepped E36 (may or may not have been street level :) ) in the hills. The Elise must be a 150% Miata...

I drove one a couple weeks back. A nice whine as the turbo spooled up and very punchy. If I get one the tail has got to go. Nice suspension, but frankly I couldn't deal with the ricer look.

You can get the smaller wing from the factory on the Evo.

I have no problem with the stock Evo wing. It's the altezza taillights I can't stand. :)
A friend of mine purchased Evo 7 tail lights - direct fit, and no more ugly rear lenses.

It's an impressive car, but I've seen refridgerators that were more aesthetically pleasing.

Very good roadholding... I prefer RWD to AWD though. IMHO.
