Can anyone tell me the thickness of the stock exhaust system on the Elise/Exige?

My welder is getting ready to weld a bung for the wideband A/F sensor. It will be just upstream of the catalytic converter.

Knowing the thickness will help with welder setup.

Thanks for your help.

Now *there's* a helpful response! -poke- ;)

There is no hole as I sit here at my computer... my welder called me and asked about the material thickness so he can practice before I get the car to him. He's a bit of a perfectionist. Perfectionists work on my car, exclusively. :D

P.S. Where's the love?!

Heck, just a coulple of days ago I crawled under my car, in my pajamas, to answer someone's question about the stock main pully size on our engine.

Well, if he's a "welder," I'd have thought he could just look at it, set his rig, and go. There's going to have to be a hole in the tubing when the bung gets welded on anyway.

Anyone who needs to "practice" first isn't going to be working on my car.
