Great to see the cars are being delivered. But being in the 'second group' (#31 so I have been told) is looking like the '05 car will really be here in '05....

Hey, I have that Lotus Esprit. My parents got it for me because they knew I was planning on buying a Lotus, but I think they thought it was the same car.

On a related note, the really large wheels seem to help it glide better after you push it, and it allows it to do some neat tricks is you push it properly. (Yes, I got bored when I went home over Christmas break.)

I thought that the exige has a fastback and a spoiler, tho Mattel labeled it an Elise.

BTW, here's a 340R I saw at the Eibach display at the Long Beach Grand Prix in April.

It's the Motorsports Elise 190 which is the race car that the Exige design was from. Maybe I have the exact name wrong, but it is something like that.

there is/was a red and a grey 340R available.
The motorsports Elise is also available in Black and in norfolk mustard. ... errr Hotwheels TM, marca registrada an' all dat.
Matchbox have a green elise S1 in a six car lengthwise blister pack.

Matchbox also has a chrome orange Elise S1 as a part of its Superfast series. Pretty good detail, and less than $2. Comes with a "storage box" showing a drawing of the car, and the cardboard backer also has the Elise drawing. Also, they're a limited edition of 15,000.

Well worth the 2 bucks, I think!
