So I was drilling out the shifter cable ball mounts to put in SSC cables and the bit broke.



Guess where it went?




Anyone have any ideas who makes a suitable sub? Lexan, CF, Aluminum?

My biggest question is can I change this with the clam still on?

Late night post.

Thomas from RLS totally hooked me up tonight with a Kevlar panel.

Stayed till 21:30 getting it boxed up, weighed and shipping label. Goes out in AM.

You cant ask for any better customer service than that!

Will post more on removing the window, it's been fun so far removing the Track Pack bar and the bulkhead trim.

Window is out. I never want to do this again in my adult life!





Wear gloves and safety glasses (no brainer). Have a knife with about 10 extra blades and a heat gun. Remove bulkhead trim and trim that's riveted in engine compartment. Tape the glass from inside, then push it out leaving only the glass glued around the edge. Tape the edge from the engine compartment, this will prevent some crumbling. I threw a blanket over the engine too.

Now comes the fun part, with a knife start cutting around the edge working from inside or out, change your blade quite often and if you have a hard spot heat it up and it make it a bit easier. All in all it took me about 3 hours and now I have glass everywhere.

There is no seal on an Exige, it was glued un place so I just had to slug it out and scrape the sealant off.

If you want a good fit for your replacement you will need to scrape it all off.
