I am usually happy when my warranty has run out because that means that I can do more mods to it without fear of having to bring it in for a warranty repair. If you have a car that you have had to bring it in for multiple warranty claims just sell it and buy something else. :D

I have the extended warranty that Lotus was offering directly back in 05. The company they used is JM&A. They still offer packages for the Lotus as far as I know.

I requested a quote from local dealer. They use Fidelity Warranty Services, Inc and I can only purchase the Platinum protection plan. They quoted me a 2 year 24,000 mile warranty for $1884 up to a 7 year 100,000 mile warranty for $7662. I never had them fax me the actual quote, but I will. Not sure if I really want it. It's nice to have the peace of mind but I'm not sure if they have the same standards as the Lotus warranty. For example, does retuning the ecu void this warranty. Definately a question that will need to be asked.
