What a blast last weekend with the Elise. This was really the first weekend I got a chance to drop the top and enjoy the springtime weather here in Boston. My neighbor and forum member Ira invited me out to the Ferrari/Maserati dealer opening in Dedham on Saturday morning. As expected this meet brought some serious cars and serious fun, thanks for the cruise up Ira! Two Lotus going through Harvard Square certainly turned some heads. :)

On Sunday my girlfriend and I took the Elise out to the NELLI Spring Drive. This went down the backroads from Worcester, MA to Narragansett, RI for some beaches/bikes (random)/seafood and of course since it was a group of New England car enthusiasts fun!

All in all a really successful really fun weekend. This car has already brought so much fun into the house and it's certainly shaping up to be a fun season. Next up is the BMWCAA ADSS @ NHMS then Cars & Coffee 3 here in Boston. Many pics to come from those events as well! :shift:

Wow, that's the first picture I like of the 72D. Thanks for sharing
Funny me too, in the dealer shots I never really liked the car all that much, but the more time I spent driving around the 72D the more I really came to like all the little accent pieces. The interior was light years nicer in terms of accents and overall quality.

Yum...

See how your Larini SE tips are dropping down.. Mine does that too even after adjusting it multiple times.. WTF? :(
I put a thread up about that, I've got a second clamp sitting on my desk and I'm probably going to use some JB Weld or a tack weld to fix that up next week. :)

Cool pix man, any more of that black 348?
Unfortunately not that are any good. Car was decent though.

I recognize the Pt Judith parking lot/entrance road in the last photo in an instant! Wish I'd known you would be down that way, I would have driven up to drool. Pt J is one of my main surf spots.

I've vowed to stop letting my boards collect dust this summer, I always seem to travel far for surf, yet never go close to home.

My boards always collect some dust over the summer, but they get plenty of use fall-winter-spring
All the good spots get CROWDED in the summer. Oh well.

Although it was a NELLI/Lotus Ltd. event, everyone on my mailing list gets notified . . .
