First Drive...

I took my (new to me) Lotus Exige out of the garage Saturday morning and went for quick 30 mile drive around lake Minnetonka. With the temp about 20° the roads were mostly dry and I came across only a couple patches of ice. Steering around the potholes and piles of salt was never so much fun. It looks like we'll have to wait a while yet before all the salt washes off the roads.

A nice way to get introduced to my new friend!

You missed the best part. how was the new Nitron suspension and alignment settings?

BTW, that's a really interesting rear panel delete.
Sweet Ride - What wheels are those?
Those look to be standard LSS wheels.
Sorry - Tires?

You're right... I am still working on my "summary" posting for the suspension and alignment MODs I made. I made arrangements with my friend Chris at Samaritan Tire to check the alignment on his Hunter system but have not had time to get there yet. We're going to try to do it on an evening next week when they are a little less busy changing out winter tires.

The car tracks straight and handles fine. Unfortunately I did not drive it (or any other Lotus) with the non-adjustable Olin's so I cannot comment on how much the Nitrons improve the handling. It handles better than any car I've ever driven and have yet to wipe the smile off my face after just 30 miles behind the wheel.

At the first stop light less than 1/4 mile from our house a young woman in a car waiting to turn left held her phone out the window to take a photo. A guy in Honda did the same thing as we drove along I-394. My 13 year old daughter wonders whether this is going to be a common event.

I LOVE that wing art!

Yet another reminder why I don't miss Minnesota one bit! AZ is full of midwesterners who came to escape that nonsense :p
Enjoy!

I just hung up with a client of mine in Minneapolis and he mentioned something about you guys getting 10-12" of snow tomorrow night. Shoot me!
Snow...

Yeah... It looks like we're in for another blast of winter.

We are all pretty sick of it!
