SOLD: Wicked Street Car/Well Sorted Track Car - 2007 Exige S

2007 Lotus Exige S

This car has seen a fair amount of track use. It is extremely well sorted out for that. It is also a road legal NJ registered road car (Collector Car status), but the racing motor mounts, Nitron GT3 suspension and racing exhaust system make it a loud and stiff ride (for the gear head its pure bliss).

I have built this car to be very fast, reliable and is always a head turner. Maintained with open check book, cost no object with Sports & Specialist Cars (Lotus dealer in Hopewell NJ) doing most of the work. Engine oil, filter, trans oil, front brake pads changed every 4 track days. Never hit anything and no off track events. Even though this car has seen track time, you would be hard pressed to find a better maintained car. I am the second owner and did all the modifications (the first owner rarely drove it when it was stock).

First place winner at LOG 33 (2013) for best Lotus Exige. First place winner at New Hope Auto Show (2011) Specialty Car Class and Honorable Mention Specialty Car Class (2014).

All the interior carpets, sound deadening material and plastic bits that aren’t important are taken out. There are Lotus Sport carpets for driver and passenger wells (new set and used set) that can be screwed in for use so the car looks like a normal Lotus Exige S. No stereo or speakers. Stereo removed for gauges that are important.

This car weights less than 2000 lbs, has more than 280hp at the wheels and does zero to 62mph in less than 3.6 seconds.

Custom build plate identifying this car’s serial number as a Lotus Sport 111RS.
Lotus Sport never made an RS, I did.

The list of Mods is extensive (see below). I do not have the OEM parts that were replaced. This car comes with three sets of RAC Mono wheels, one set is on the car, one set has Yoko slicks on them (used two track days) and one set is new in box and never taken out. I have a number of interior CF parts that have not been installed and are new in box (interior sills, and side dash pods). Included is a brand new engine all built and on an engine stand (with upgraded valves, springs, oil pump gear and larger oil pan), new OEM trans (with LSD) and clutch.

I will not part out. Don’t ask. Approximately 20,100 miles on car/engine/trans.

$60,000 Firm Contact GSchostak at aol dot com (please, if you don't have the resources to buy this car, don't waste my time). Would consider a restored Lotus Elan DHC twin cam as partial trade plus cash.

Wow!

What is the plate in the passenger floor?
The grey material is OEM sound deadening material. The bolts are for the Cool Shirt box that the custom mounting plate attaches to. There is a removable connector cable that plugs into a hard wired receptacle that connects to a small black switch on the steering column to turn on/off the motor in the cool shirt box.

I'm retiring from the track. It was fun for nine years with three different Lotus' and one Porsche, but time to move on. This Exige is too fast for road use only, which is why I'm selling it. I'm going old school and getting a classic Lotus.

I also have three racing karts that are up for sale. One of them is a Lotus.

Thanks :)

Sticky tape...they all have that
I hadn't seen it before (not on my Elise... but it is older) :)

Very nice car and setup. I have a lot of the same parts. Where did you get the center console without the emergency brake cutout? I have the same brakes, hence my interest.

Nice Lotus cart BTW. GLWS.

Thanks for the complements. It's a great car and someone will get years worth of work in an instant. No regrets, it's been a lot of fun and great memories.

The CF console was custom made by HK Fever. Only two ever made and I had to buy both to get them produced. Waited 6 months. Sold the other one last year on this site.
