When I began watching F1 I was a big Alessandro Nannini fan until his crash. I fondly remember waking up at 7:30 AM on Sundays to watch the races on ESPN. The real Hockingheim ring was my favorite course. Next year I'll be rooting for USF1/USGPE/whatever they're calling it this month.

My wife and I were Die Hard Webber fans for many years, since he began at Jaguar. But that poor guy's got voodoo attached to him - finish a race? Finish a LAP! How many times has Webber been taken out on the first lap? I've lost count. He's terrific in qualifying, terrific in the wet.

What will be interesting is to see how he compares with Vettel. I think if he beats Vettel in the points and in a few other statistically significant areas, He may find his way to a front running team - then again, if Red Bull successfully adapts the new diffuser design, they may find they are a front running team.

I certainly wish him all the best, he is a class act.
