Front right caliper is sticking again on my '07 Elise. It happens when car sits overnite, very odd. When I try to push car out of garage it act as if its still in gear, when given a harder shove I hear it release. Second time since new.Took 2 trips to dealer to convince them it had a problem. Luckily it happened when they had it. Both were replaced under warranty. Anyone else had this issue?

Yes, especially after washing the car and then putting it up for the night.

When backing out it takes a little more clutch and then, pop and the car rolls freely.

From memory from old threads on this, not sure it the caliper sticking as much as the pad sticking to the rotor.

I think my rear has done this a couple of times after I've washed it. There were no issues after it popped free. I assumed it was just the pad sticking to the rotor.

It's not the caliper. They all do this. As the rotor corrodes it raises up a tad, corrosion grows like grass. This creates a lip the brake pad must go over. That's the pop you hear.

I had the fluid for the brakes changed annually since new. Only done the clutch couple times. Also felt corrosion on the rotor could be the culprit but its odd its only the passnger side. Been sitting for a couple days and just tried it and was fine. Must be Lucas brakes....
