Hey Guys,

I'm reposting this because I can't edit my old posting. Price is $52k OBO. Call or text with questions 706-326-7326.

The car history:
-This Exige is unique. It was the Exige S prototype in America (Vin 80003). It was factory supercharged as an "S" although there are no supercharged Exiges until 2007. My key said it was a 270E when I received it, but I can't confirm that it was. I have contacted Lotus to get the providence, but they can't provide one for the very fact it was a prototype and they don't track them like other production cars. To my knowledge the car has never been wrecked or damaged nor did I find evidence of such in my teardown and rebuild. I assume a factory car is driven by proper drivers. I bought the car 2-3 years ago as a rolling chassis (they wouldn't sell a prototype in working condition) and it was my dream car. The chassis and odometer have 24,XXX miles. The engine I bought for the car was from Alex Krug of Krugspeed Racing. It had around 500 miles on it when I purchased it. I spent the next few years building it screw by screw (literally had the parts catalog and built the original engine piece by piece) out of a semi-long block (head, and block were complete but missing pan and anything else that is mounted on/to the engine). I originally was going to go stock, but times and aspirations change. I ended up making a bit of my own custom Exige.

I just recently finished the final tuning with Controlled Motors in Alpharetta, GA based on the recommendations of Jason Pannell of Pannell Motorsports (big loss for the Lotus community in GA with the closing of his shop). After all my work and limited engine modifications, she ended up making:

Max Power - 272.95 HP @8100 RPM
Max Torque - 186.9 @6100 RPM

The dyno chart is attached. The power output is extremely predictable as is torque (no spikes or curves) and Brandon at Controlled Motors says he preferred my car to some other turbocharged Lotus' he has tuned. As it stands, I've been driving her for a bit now and she is an absolute blast to drive. Fair warning, she's loud! There is a radio, but it's useless. As such, with the current setup she's geared more for performance than comfort.

Why am I selling? I'm still in flight school and only home on the weekends. I should finish up early next year then I probably have a 9 month deployment waiting for me. I don't get to drive her much and probably wont for the foreseeable future. If I have to choose between keeping her in the garage for the next 2 years or letting someone else have some fun, I choose the latter. I'll get another some day when life slows down.

The BAD:
- The paint is in decent shape but has some chips and I'll document everything once I am back home. Not perfect, but not bad. There is a rub spot under the yellow racing stripe in the front that I didn't find until I redid the stripe. The underside of the clam shows no sign of repair and I can only surmise rubbing from a strap or something.

Hit me up with questions. This car is located about 90 minutes from Hartsfield Jackson Airport in Atlanta, GA. I'll get some better pictures when I'm home again this weekend. Thanks for looking!

The setup is custom. I actually used the stock EWP that Lotus uses to circulate coolant when the engine is off. Made for a nice compact package. The intercooler is mounted on the stock A2A intercooler mount.

Awesome build, GLWS. Is that the BOE clam hinge installed on the rear?
It is the BOE clam hinge. Awesome investment if you work on the car a lot. There is SO much more room to work when that rear clam is open.

Thank you both!

Looks like the traction control adjustment was relocated to the center console -- is that also an ethernet port I see?! Lovely build, GLWS

That is correct. The whole unit is part of the SSC ECU. On demand traction control, Ethernet, serial in/out, and knock port. You can also use launch control with the ECU but I have not enabled that function...yet ? The serial in/out function is pretty cool. It's currently paired to the PLX gauge via an interface board. The PLX gauge itself is touch screen and it allows me access all my engine data on the gauge: RPM, knock, fuel, IAT, timing, AFR, exhaust gas temps, vacuum, voltage, etc..just scroll through the different screens. I'll snap some pictures tomorrow.

Some underside pics for those that like that kind of stuff!

Here's the PLX gauges powered on. Touching left/right of the numbers scrolls left/right through available menus. Top gauge is oil pressure, oil temp, and coolant temp. Bottom gauge is everything else. You can also pick between traditional numbers or a line graph. Alarms can also be set. Since this version of gauges, PLX has streamlined some of the modules into a smaller unit.

I guess his wife was getting relocated at her job so he started the process to close the shop. Think she ended up not moving but he had already started closing the doors. Last I heard he was going to be a firefighter.

Great car! I vaguely recall when it was for sale a few years ago and your recounting of it's history jogged some of those memories. White Exiges are pretty rare, and the stripes look so good on it. I also love how they left the roof air scoop white which is a nice aesthetic touch.

Good selection of modifications on this car too. Tastefully done and all purposeful.

Hope it finds a new owner on here!

Cool history on the the car and you clearly put a lot of work into it. GLWTS!
Thank you. It is an awesome brand and car. I honestly have enjoyed every minute and dollar I put into her. For the average Joe, this is one of those car you can't help but say, "I can't believe I own this!" every time you see it. Installing the harness bar tomorrow and hopefully posting some YouTube videos!
