Stock is rated at 240hp/225tq. Dyno'ed stock 224whp/217wtq at Autothority in Fairfax, VA.

With mods, HP is around 260-270 crank. This car was faster than my stock Elise.

You do know that 95 M3's are in the 8-11K range these days right? 16K will buy you a very nice low mileage 98/99. Might have better luck on bimmerforums. I sold my rare 97 M3 sedan black/black 5 spd with 93,000 miles 2 years ago for 13.

Those $8-11k M3s are beat! This car will sell....I'm not worried. 95s are the most desireable year e36 M3 btw, especially in this condition.

Also, what made your black/black 97 M3 sedan so rare?

The sedan was more rare than the coupe to start with (only made in 97/98) and 60% of the sedans were automatics.

Also the 95 to me is the LEAST desireable year. No automatic climate control (knobs on a $40,000 car?), weaker motor with less torque 3.0L vs 3.2L and taller final drive for slower acceleration 3.32 vs 3.10 IIRC, square kidney grills etc.

BUMP for a nice car. If I didn't have my 1600 I would've bought an E36 in a heartbeat. I thought '95 was the most desirable year? (last year of OBD1?)

Keep in mind that the 95 is the ONLY e36 m3 that is OBDI.... I hate OBDII cars when it comes to modifying.. I just picked up an Integra.. I made sure it was a 94-95.... OBDI FTW

But the price is a little steep.

Would agree that 3.2 vanos had probs the 3.0 didnt, but why is hp so low ? over-here stock was between 286 and 321 ?
There are a lot of different reasons. For example your cars have: Individual throttle bodies, 3.5 hfm, better intake, free flowing exhaust, better tune. etc etc...
