I think we all want details (and pics), whether we can afford it or not :).

Good luck with the sale.

Pics and a price. Jeremy Clarkson tested the 8C last season, and as beautiful as he thinks it looks, he hated the way it drove. I wonder what it compares to here in the US market. There are rumours that Alfas will once again be sold in the US. I almost bought an Alfa once, a 1985 GTV6... bought a BMW 325e instead and to this day, I wonder if I went down the correct path.

The 8C is based on the older Maserati Coupe/GrandSport chassis. Not the most up to date or involving in terms of sports cars. As for the GTV6, it is a whole lot more involving to drive than a contemporary 325e. You went down the wrong path. ;)

Here's a picture of an 8C just for reference. (I knew I had a picture of it somewhere...)

The exhaust sound on this car is UNBELIEVABLY LOUD AND WONDERFUL!

An amazing sports car...:D

What a beautiful car - but I still think that that design should have been positioned as an AMV8 competitor. Positioning it against the F430 and Gallardo just seems weird to me.

Edit: Not because of the level of design - I absolutely love it. I guess just because price level generally seems to point to more "exotic" styling. Of course it is limited production and there are Mercedes and Porsches in that price range, so I guess I can see it.

Thanks for posting the pics.

OOOOOOOH!

So tempted... I almost don't care how it drives; it is vehicular porn!

Is there an offer? I just might lift it on the wire...

I do not know what's going on with this car. The production was limited to 500 of them (Coupé), but there are always some 20 or so available as "used" cars. In Germany - not to mention other European countries. The mileage varies from 0 to 2,000 miles and prices are in a range from 170,000 € to 270,000 €.

Autosalon Singen is asking 219,900 € for this yellow one with 3,000 km.

And, yes, it is an awesome car - not only for Alfa lovers. It does not compete against anything, but has been created in order to contribute to Alfa design and history.

Easily one of the most beautiful cars built in recent memory. Wonderful sounding engine as well. Driving experience reports have been mixed. My guess is that many cars were bought on speculation and that with the global economic down turn, the opportunity didn't materialize.

Take your Uncle over there with you in the Noble (congrats on that!). He wants a ride in your new car. Take him to see the Alfa!
