How much does this over lap the old ring? I'm just wondering if there is any impact to airbag deployment? I'm sure double sided tape and glue will not stop anything, but also don't want this to become a projectile either... pretty cool item if there's no issues. thanks.

No part of the original silver colored ring will be visible with the CF piece on top. I don't think it would be an issue for this to become a projectile because the air bag deploys through the center, which breaks apart at the horizontal seam through the middle of the wheel.
