FS: OEM Canyon Red Exige S roof.

Great shape, will take/send pix if interested.

Not exactly sure the circumstances someone would want an Exige S roof...theirs blew off on the highway (hey, it's happened); tree fell on theirs; an 06/N/A owner wants one with the hole opened and the little extension on it (could buy the extension and put it on theirs, though); somebody putting an Exige body on an Elise....

Anyway, if anyone's interested, PM. $1K.

Bump for a great seller! By the way, the exige roof does not look so bad on an elise. In fact, some people that saw it thought it was cool. I will post some pics of a yellow exige top on an elise later tonight. Could be great for someone with a red elise.

So - does the wind just go whistling through that opening, at speeds or what? Doesn't look bad at all. In fact, it looks pretty good. Just wondering out of curiosity though, if that creates any sort of strange wind noises, as being literally, the "air-scoop to nowhere" upon an Elise as such?

What does Lotus charge for the standard Elise Hardtop option?

I'll +1 a previous posters testamonial to a good seller here, and could see this, if financially a favorable comparison to otherwise factory Elise H/T options - as a very viable one that based on personal (visual) preference, one just might consider. Or of course for anyone with an '06 Exige, that may ever consider the option of S/C'ing their N/A car - this would be perfect!

It bolts right up like an elise hard top? No difference in the back side where the elise and exige differ?

How does it look if I looked from behind, is it black on the inside?
It install identically to the Elise hardtop. Same tools, seals, fitment, interior finishing pieces.

Note, all the seals ARE on the top,but the interior finishing pieces (the windshield header piece and the two pieces covering the rear side clamps) are NOT included. I'm using them with my Cup roof.

I'll look at mine, but I'm pretty sure it's unfinished/raw fiberglass on the inside.

Do these peices act functionaly or are they just to cover the edges up and make it look nicer?

Those are just "decorative trim" pieces only, and provide no other function or affect roof fit, or attachment. For the side pieces in particular, it would be a simple enough task actually to 'fab' those covers up, if desired, out of some leftover styrofoam from a shipping box, either black felt cover it (they only affix, even as OEM by one small strip of velro anyway) or krylon black spray it, and voila!

No - these trim pieces mentioned are exactly just that - trim pieces only that have no affect whatsoever on the roof attachment, structurally.
