I agree. It's a good way to track real time. Obviously there are data loggers with displays/laptimers but this is a good less expensive alternative. This is how I had installed on track days. See the visors are useful.

I use this too in my car. I mounted it to the dash above the light switches and have been getting my signal throgh the front windshield by mounting it in the front of the dash! Works great and the #s are huge when your driving easy to see!
