I have a 2005 lotus elise that was not going past 6,000 rpm randomly (not always) even after it was fully warmed up (190 degrees on dash). So i checked the common ecu fuse and vvti fuse and found something strange... the posts were black but they didn't appear to be broken. I haven't replaced them yet as i just found this so ill have to post as to if it remedied the other problem; however, my question is has anyone else seen fuses look like this before? did water get inside them causing them to arc or?
(I pulled the metal posts out on the right because i wanted to see what color the marks were / confirm it was blackish. the other is the immobilizer fuse quite a few were like this)
