FYI for all the DIY'ers on the board... Autozone apparently has a special right now for 5qts Castrol Fully Synthetic (any weight) and a K&N Oil Filter for $27.99.

The K&N 2009 oil filter has been previously discussed on this board, and seems to be the best non-OEM, widely-distributed filter available in the states for the Elise/Exige. Grab the 2009 filter- the silly book in the store mistakenly points you to a much smaller filter for the same price...

Anyway, that makes it about 45% off on your Elise 5w40 synthetic oil change... if anyone is due!

Are you sure? The AutoZone website lists the GTX Conventional on special:

Ok, just called up my local store are they do have the synthetic as well
Now just trying to find what store around me has it in stock!

Yes, the Syntec special is real, but it is NOT widely advertised.

My local store had the whole line up...
