When I tried to change the time in my '83 Esprit the clock started fast forwarding and couldn't be stopped. My first thought is the button is jammed, but it stopped once the key was turned off, right now it's about 33 minutes fast. I tried unhooking the battery to reset to 12:00, but that didn't work. Is there an internal button cell battery somewhere inside the clock?

JAE says a replacement clock is NLA, is there an after market replacement clock somewhere or can this be fixed?

This was just discussed over on the Lotus Forums, they found a module that can be put in the OEM case.
My '85 clock had sticky buttons and I was able to open the case and clean them.
