05 Elise 17k miles
Driving downtown Austin in the middle SXSW and my gas pedal suddenly doesn't register. No lights came on...no warning. Engine sounds good. so guessing this could be accelarator cable? Or this could be a whole mess of other problems. Any help is much appreciated.:facepalm

If it is an 05 then the throttle has a cable which can easily be seen at the throttle body towards front of car. pull on the cable at the throttle body and see if there is resistance. If not then there is a break in the cable somewhere.

yup - i imagine a 2006 might be more difficult to troubleshoot.

Don't mean to jack the thread but does anyone know of a parts distributor that sells the DBW pedal assembly.

The whole pedal box is A120J0011F , the DBW piece alone is A116J0003L.

I'd just put a word in at DeRoure, MyLotusGarage/Flow, LotusGarage, etc. - one of them will probably have one on hand and if not they can give you the factory lead time.

Thanks, cable is snapped near pedal. Going to thread a new one tomorrow. Is there any casing around the wire that may be trouble?
