Our 8th Get Your Lotus Out Event will be held on Sunday, August 17th, 2014, at the East Market At Fair Lakes shopping center, from 8:00AM - 10:30AM.

We hold the Cars & Coffee events in front of the Starbucks in the East Market at Fair Lakes shopping center - there's also a Kohl's and a Dick's Sporting Goods in the complex. East Market at Fair Lakes is about a 5 minute drive from the intersection of 66 & 286 (Fairfax County Parkway) in Fairfax, VA. You can use your Navigation system or MapQuest this parking lot, using the address for Kohl's -

This is a great excuse to drive your Lotus on a nice Sunday morning, and meet other Lotus people. We will have a drawing for door prizes. As a bonus (if you need one), the Fair Lakes weekly Cars & Coffee event has evolved into a pretty big, diverse car gathering - all marques and types of cars. We hold GYLO twice a year as a 'sideshow' to that event.

We hope to see you there. Please forward this information to your Lotus friends! This year, we are organizing a drive afterwards, starting at 10:30AM.

Please RSVP to me, so I know how many parking spaces to reserve. Also, let me know if you are interested in the drive afterwards. We plan it to be a ~30 minute drive, to end up at a winery, where we will be able to have brunch.

Get Your Lotus Out!

A little over a week to go! This event starts at 8:00AM, and goes to 10:30AM. We are, again, holding it at East Market at Fair Lakes, in Fairfax, VA - near the Kohl's and Dick's Sporting Goods parking lot. We will have an interesting mix of cars & people, as well as prizes.

Get Your Lotus Out: This Means YOU!

At this point, we have 20 written, confirmed Lotus cars coming to our event on Sunday, 08/17/14. I have a handful more, verbal RSVPs, but I have learned to discount those. I expect we will have close to 30 cars there this Sunday.

You will not want to miss this event. It will run from 8:00AM to 10:30AM, and if you're inclined, we will be going a few blocks away to The Blue Iguana for brunch afterwards.

GYLO 8

We held our 8th Get Your Lotus Out event today. We had 27 Lotus show up, and we had a great time. We (mostly) held onto our record for no bad weather - we had a 3-minute sprinkle partway thru the morning, which caused me and several others to put the tops on our cars. Not nearly enough precip to even cause us to seek shelter. It was really minimal, passed almost immediately, and the temperature all morning was terrific!

As always, we had a 'Favorite Lotus' vote. This year, the winner was Scott Lentz, and his gorgeous Caterham Superlight. Well deserved!
Scott got a $100 gift certificate from RRT Racing.
