My fuel pump went out (20,000 miles) and I was looking to replace it with a good aftermarket one instead of the one from lotus. What's a good brand? I don't have any plans for forced induction applications, just keeping the Elise stock.

I seem to recall that some of the aftermarket pumps were louder - audible while driving. If that matters to you, you might check if there is a sound level issue when looking for a replacement.

Yeah the Walbro 255 is louder but with the top off you never here it. Not sure of the 190 part number. If you have an 05 there is a good chance you will break the upper portion of the fuel pump assembly trying to get it out! It is a real pita. The opening in the tank is slightly too small so Lotus just forced the pump in. I encourage you too read up on the old threads, also check out westrock's thread on VF2 install. I also think there is a Denso pump that will work and is rated the same. Tommy
