Good if it happens - them mine will be for sale when I get that new model - I'll get on the waiting list as soon as I can for that one.

300hp for a supercharger? Why is it I am less than confident about any of that information?

Has anyone seen this IN PERSON? Where did they get the other info from? Is it out of "sales person" speak or coming from a real official at lotus?

I've heard the supercharger point bandied about before. My salesmen said "they're" working on one, but when pressed if he meant OEM or aftermarket, he wouldn't say.

I call bs on the 300hp, unless the car get rebuilt every six months. I'm guessing 225-240 for sc

I would be more than happy with 240

300 hp = new cams (not gonna happen) and lower compression pistons. No other way I can see it. The celica gts world has been waiting for how many years for this kind of setup?

Don't get me wrong, technically it is possible to make some new cams and pistons. Unfortunately if it isnt an official lotus production, I seriously doubt we will see tuners step up to bat if they haven't already. The cams are going to require special machinery/processes to manufacture which only toyota/yamaha possess right now. Lotus could convince toyota to make a limited run of a specialized cam, but noone else out there could.

4 years of rumors re supercharger for the spyder makes me skeptical on all such statements. if it hapens it happens. otherwise just rumor mill bs

The salesguy at BMC SF said that the Qvale group(owners and previous Trans AM team owners) is working on a Super Charger upgrade kit with Huffaker Engineering @ 240hp is the target#.
I said I would commit my car as the test mule so long as they give me a new engine and S/C after the thing is sorted.

I've been working with Clay. I understand why he is hesitant to provide too much information as he does not want to look dishonest if things change which he can't control. I would just like to get a ballpark idea of when I might expect a call to place an order. Am I looking at a 2005 model or 2006? That would be a start.

I put down my deposit in October and was told that I was #43, but I have been moved down a bit since then. I lived in Trinity at the time too!:wave:
You probably arent too far behind me on the list.

I put down my deposit with CJ but have spoken to Clay as well and I was told the same thing, 300hp Enzo killer!
