Lotus Heaven there today. The Lotus Presentation building was very impressive. Took a lot of pictures, but on a damn iPad right now, will post later when I can get to a real computer.

Goodwood

I was at Goodwood on Friday. It was Lotus heaven! Lotus certainly spent some of their borrowed cash on an amazing display. I have lots of pics to post when I get home. The Exige V6 is amazing in the flesh.

Too bad.... was really looking forward to the convertible variant...... This combined with the news of the factory mostly shut down (according to a thread of a recent factory visit where the poster mentioned that assembly lines were closed and only a few people finishing up a few cars), I'm afraid me might be looking at the end of Lotus after all..... This sucks.....

I just can't imagine that they're done for good, or maybe it's just that I don't want to imagine it. Besides, the factory WAS shutdown right? It's currently back up no? Perhaps the poster that you speak of was just there at a slow time. Aren't they trying to catch up on orders after the shutdown?

Was at the show yesterday and thought people might like some of my Lotus photos from the day. :UK:

I've posted up a full gallery on the SELOC Facebook Page here: Goodwood Festival of Speed 2012 | Facebook

A few samples below...

On the Lotus stand

Elan Sprint and 26R celebrate the 50th birthday of the Elan

Lotus T125 and Lotus Renault GP R31 on the stand

The Gerry Judah sculpture outside the main house, stunning in photos but even more amazing to walk round and admire from all different angles.

Esprit X180 Race Car

Just some of the JPS F1 cars on display...

Last years Lotus Renault R31 (I think) getting ready for action.

Lotus Celebration group going up the hill.

No announcement on the two new variants yet?
Those were both cancelled by DRB when they came in. They said that they weren't worthy for release. Something about being cosmetic versus substance. There's a press release mentioning it on BSpeed.

Nice pictures! Glad I didn't get any of mine up already!

The Evora GTE in the Michelin supercar group was quite interesting. Loved the interior, the set up in general (pics some day guys, I'm on the road. iPad has the pictures, but LT Manage Attachments won't recognize them :().

Dark green Exige S next door, then the orangish Aventador! Good company.

Some video from the day here as well, got MOST the cars heading up the hill in the Lotus group, but missed the Type 72E unfortunately.

Stick it in 1080p, turn up the air-con and stand next to a powerful fan and it's just like being there. ;)

Wow! Nice job. You've done this before.

Indeed was quite cool. But was 100 last two days back home. I'll take the English Summer.

Sounds like possible damage control to me. So they were worth releasing before but not anymore?

Maybe it's a redesign of the Evora nose?
