Here it is. Brand new from Trust. Something to keep your fuel trims in check in closed loop...which seems to be the #1 problem on this site from going into the tuner realm:

It seems to be on sale here for around $500 when included with a A/F sensor: Trust - Greddy - F-Manage - Nengun Performance

There seems to be a new Greddy tuning device -- the F-manage :wtf:

It appears to provide a way to fool the ECU into thinking it's running at stoich in closed loop and allows you to dial in any AFR you want!

Here's the babel fish link with Engrish translation...

Translation result for http://www.trust-power.com/03electric/fmanage.html

Here's another translation

Translated version of http://www.trust-power.com/03electric/fmanage.html

Anyone able to translate this better? :chuckles:

Here's more info, but I can't read or translate any of it it...:

Sooo for UNDER $1500...a Greddy E-manage Ultimate + V-Manage + F-Manage combination will allow you to tune ignition timing...tune fuel injector pulse width to richen or lean out your fueling needs...tune VVT-i to build up more boost on boosted engines and optimize cam timing...allow you to lower LIFT under the 6,200 RPM mark...and keep closed loop fuel trims in check more efficiently than before...all while staying OBD-II complaint so no ECU swaps are needed to pass inspections...

Hmmm....

And did I mention an additional $150 can allow you to tune based on manifold pressure (MAP) when you purchase the harness and sensor similar to high end standalone ECU's...like how the VR4 guys are doing: -= Ultimate Emanage Tuning Thread =- - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center

Cmon now...don't tell me this isn't bang for the buck and convenience all in one...kverges is still running his turbo'd Elise strong on the emanage ultimate piggyback ECU...passing OBD-II emissions...and admitted it might be possible to wire in the v-manage based on the VVTL-i wiring diagrams I posted in the v-manage thread I made.

... and all of that Japanese writing looks really cool too. Seriously I wish I knew half as much as I want about tuning and I would go for it and have some fun. I would probably practice with the Supra (non VVTL-i of course) first as I can get a used engine for one of those real cheap compared to the Elise if and when I blew it up.

Everything is still in Japanese because I don't think it made it's official US debut yet. Same thing happened with the v-manage for a while.

A 2JZ-GTE block is cheaper than a 2ZZ-GE? Where are you getting part quotes?

A new 2ZZ-GE short block only costs $1,318.39: [https://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getLocator&siteid=213804&chapter=APM801&appSectionid=10&groupid=61675&make=34&model=Celica&year=2000&catalogid=1

As for learning all the tuning mumbo jumbo, and actually having a knowledge base to start tinkering with it:

That is pretty cool, but I would like to see Greddy combine all this into one box. If they did, they would have a winner in my book. I used an emanage ultimate on my Eclipse turbo running 550's and a TD06-20G, and it worked very well. The emanage is a pretty easy to use tuning tool with a lot of features. The idea of having three boxes in my car and the the multiple screens and wiring doesn't fit the keep it simple model. That would be the main reason I am a fan of reflashes or tunable stock ecu's.

I agree. If I wasn't getting my buddy's greddy supercharged setup in September with his emanage ultimate already tuned well for his breather mods, I wouldn't consider getting the v-manage or the f-manage either.

But for you 06+ DBW members, you either can go with this $1500 combination that all hooks up to the emanage ultimate software, or the $3,400 EFI standalone ECU option that will also require you to pay an additional $1000 to sort out the messy DBW idle problem some people say they have.

I just did some math, and this Greddy route is still the cheapest. I'd have to pay $1870 to go on the Boosted2.0 PFC DBW Harness + Apexi Power FC standalone ECU + Datalogit route, and $1,700 for the DBW Hydra Standalone ECu route as a 03 Celica GTS owner with DBW. Of course, your prices as Lotus owners would only be jacked up even more, as the 05 throttle cable Lotus Hydra standalone ECU is about $2,000 while the 00-02 Celica GTS throttle cable version is only $1500.

I think the worsening dollar and higher gas prices drove up the price of Apexi Power FC's this past year from under $700 on a few sites to over $900!!! I don't think you can argue with getting most of the capabilities of a standalone for under $1500, even if you have to deal with the foibles of the stock ECU.

Lookey lookey what's on sale :D

$591.65: TRUST GReddy F-Manage Main Unit Sensor Set 2.5m Harness

TRUST GReddy F-Manage Main Unit Sensor Set 2.5m Harness
NOW ON SALE
You are viewing a brand new GReddy F-Manage Main Unit with the Sensor Set and 2.5 meter harness by one of the most innovative in all performance, TRUST/GReddy.

The GReddy F-Manage is a also known as the feedback control manager. It can be used in conjunction with the E-Manage from GReddy to more accurately tune the air/fuel ratio. This will lead to increases in horsepower and a cleaner burn. Feedback is given that is essential for tuning the finer points of your engine. Most beneficial on supercharged and turbocharged vehicles.

Included are the following:

-F-Manage Main Unit
-USB Cable
-CD-ROM
-Sensor Kit
-2.5 meter harness kit
My wish list of stuff to buy is growing, but my income isn't :( . College sucks...

But anyways, a $540 Emanage Ultimate + $509 V-Manage + $592 F-Manage Setup = $1641 Programmable ECU setup. Still about 1/2 the price of the EFI route.
