Hi all,

I'm a long time lurker here. I've wanted an Elise for years, and now the time has come!

I was actually lucky enough to score a 'vintage' '05 color sheet with different chips (via Park Place in Bellevue). Nice to actually all of the colors next to eachother in the sunlight.

The market in the NW seems to be pretty rough.

My question to other owners: How far did you travel to buy your Lotus?

Get Hunter at PP to find you some options. Put him to work.

Good luck and keep us informed.

On an out of town one. I'm having a friend go check an Evora out for me in so cal. Use other LT members too. Most of us love to go car shopping ;-)

Mine was local since original Park Place delivery. Resided in a garage in Olympia for seven years and now resides in a garage in Lynnwood. I suppose I got lucky to not have to ship it or worry about inspection. But there is no way I'd buy one without an inspection if I was looking outside of where I could go and check it out myself. I see a red one, a blue one, and/or a Bordeaux one in Redmond regularly. Then there are non-regular sightings. Crazy how many I've seen around since buying mine.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind! I might just have to go that route.

One way ticket and 850 mile drive home. I wanted to see it in person and didn’t want it to just show up by truck before actually seeing it.
I'd probably be more likely to do this... Ballsy to buy a one way ticket I must say. Removes some negotiation power eh? :)

I don't plan on getting a pristine garage queen. I actually want to put some miles on it. Given, my current fun car is a sunny day / weekend warrior, the lotus would be as well.

I negotiated the price on the phone and bought from an LT member and then flew to Denver on a one way ticket and drove it home!

Had mine shipped from Arizona (to Georgia). Multiple communications with seller gave me confidence. Did not see it in person until it came off the truck. Best purchase I ever made. Two years later, still loving it.

Pretty much the same story as DrinkMan. Had mine shipped from New York (to Vancouver, BC). Felt comfortable with seller after multiple communications. Didn't see it in person until it came off the truck. Still loving mine too. :)
