An interesting way of packaging Chapman's legacy beyond the obvious. I knew all of these stories individually, but hadn't really connected the dots. Add in the legacy of the race cars (11, 25, 49, 72, 79 among others) and there's a lot to talk about. You know, I'd never actually looked carefully at a Tesla roadster after having bought my Elise. Tesla claims most of the car is different, but it doesn't look like it from the example in the article.

Saw this in the magazine last month. Soon after I remarked to a Tesla Roadster owner at a local cars and coffee that his car sorta looked like a Lotus. He shrugged it off, "oh, maybe a little bit".

I was being facetious. Of course it looks like a Lotus because it IS a Lotus. I don't think he appreciated me comparing his high tech retro collectible to a mere british roadster with internal combustion. The irony being, to a true car person, that is just about the most flattering comparison you could get.
