So I was about to buy the Harmon Racing fuel cell, but NASA was giving me pushback about if it was legal or not since it uses the car itself as the metal enclosure. Has anyone had this approved for w2w?

Sounds like NASA needs to get a clue. Ask Krugspeed Racing about this one.

Metal enclosed fuel cell for a Lotus? I have never seen one- I have used the Lotus FIA fuel cell.

Not for NASA, I don't see how you can fit any metal fuel cell in the tight spot without doing lots of work and having less capacity.

Moot point, the inspector called me after and said it would be OK if I just seal up the factory cell location
