what are your data acquisition needs? its the same data system - just stuck on a wheel as opposed to dash mounted. so pick your data system, then pick mounting. yes, the evo 4 will plug into the obd2 port to sample that source, or you can use it standalone with 'analog' sensors and sampling (which is almost always better.)
