I have ForcedFed power package on my Exige S (247 RWHP dyno'd) and the clutch is now the weak point, getting to the point where even roll on throttle in 1st gear will cause the clutch to start slipping. Standing starts are now a joke - VW bug will kill me off the line. So I'm looking for a good replacement clutch -- thinking about these:

<a href="http://www.forcedfed.com/elise/clutchsets/ats_carbon_clutch.html">ATC Carbon Clutch Kit</a>

or

<a href="http://www.forcedfed.com/elise/clutchsets/toda_package.html">TODA Racing Clutch Kit</a>

I realize the '08 240 S got a better clutch from factory and since the stock '08 makes 30 HP less than my '07 FF setup, I pretty much expected that I'd need a new clutch.

Also thinking about the header (mostly for weight reduction) with Cat: <a href="http://www.forcedfed.com/elise/headers/f2streethdr.html">FF Header System</a>

Input/Opinions most welcome.

Followup:

Just got the car back from ForcedFed. Casey installed the TODA Racing Clutch kit (with flywheel) along with their Engine damper.

1. If you add power to your Exige S, a clutch upgrade is a MUST!
2. Engine damper is another MUST with or without power upgrades.

I haven't finished breaking in the clutch yet, but it feels significantly better than the stock clutch and is very street friendly. The engine damper really smooths out the car when transitions from on/off throttle and the variable valves opening up, amazing! I should have done this much sooner.

On a side note: Casey updated my EFI software and dyno'd the car again, 255 RWHP (up from 247 RWHP) and 188 ft/tq (stock exhaust manifold with stock cat). Drive home and the car felt smooth and more responsive.

FF are coming out with there Headers very soon (which I hope to have installed +15 RWHP with Cat) and an intercooler misting setup (designed to work with the EFI) which I want to try out (address the heat soak issues).

All in all, very impressed once again with the service and support from ForcedFed. The EFI update and dyno was all done for free, now that is commitment.

And finally, EFI have a throttle by wire replacement for the Lotus system that I want to have installed as soon as Casey can get his hands on one. This should remove ALL and ANY idle/stall issues being caused by the factory flakey throttle by wire units.

Stay tuned.

wish i saw this before getting quicksilver manifold. primaries are larger noted in link article. I wonder how this compares with quicksilver manifolds... price is roughly the same.

ORC and ATS are also good clutch brands, my friend has ORC in his exige, it makes a lot of noise, some people like it some dont. ATS carbon I've heard is very good but dont know anyone whose tried it on exige nor if it's available

Can't really tell from the pic, but I assume that pic is not for Lotus? Also, those welds look a little suspect if you compare them to these from FF: <a href="http://www.forcedfed.com/elise/headers/f2streethdr.html">ForcedFed Headers</a>

Also don't see swivel? Bolt and gasket?

The FF header is designed to fit to stock cat also.
