Arrived home tonight, turned off the headlights, removed the key, and the buzzer sounded as if to warn I should turn off the headlights? Tried several things, such as restarting the car, turning the headlights on/off, etc.

Got out and left the car sit for 10 minutes. The "courtesy" lights, including the DRLs remained on.

I disconnected the battery to avoid a dead battery.

I guess I'll call the dealer tomorrow and schedule an appointment.

I made the mistake of closing the trunk with a disconnected battery. Fortunately with my wife pushing down/pulling on the trunk while I pulled the manual trunk release handle, it opened OK.

Did you turn off the parking lights as well? In my car once I turn off the ignition, the buttons no longer light up, and the noise only seems to chime sometimes for my parking lights and all the time for the headlights. So it makes it tough to see if my lights have been completely turned off so I make it habit to do it while the car is still on.

I have up when I had my Elise trying to figure out the lotus dash logic...
