my name is david and i have always been a huge fan of lotus and have wanted one for a long time.
i currently drive a celica and just paid it off so im looking to add to my 2zz collection with a lotus here in the next year or so and im assuming i'll learn some good info from this forum, i have already read some posts and everyone seems real humorous and laid back, very unlike newcelica
but anyways, i just moved to north carolina from ohio and i love it

looking forward to learning everything i have to learn before making my purchase

If there is anything anyone thinks I should or need to know, definitely share it here

I wanted one since I saw the Elise in 2005, I'm my early 30's I've had the car for a few months now and absolutely love it I drive it every day!! the only thing that I don't like very much is the attention :shrug: . That is why I got the blue instead of an orange one (orange is sooo nice :bow: ) but I can't handle the attention... I'm so looking forward to track it in October... :coolnana:

I am thinking about getting orange, I have always like that color... I guess the attention could be good n bad! depends...

Sticking out in these tiny little cars is not necessarily a bad idea..... I was initially dead set - even put money down on a Storm Titanium with black pack. Luckily the deal fell through and I decided to rent an Elise for a weekend. I got an Ardent Red and fell in love with the color over the weekend, not even a big red car fan. But driving around I quickly realized - wow nobody can see me and a Storm Ti on a rainy or foggy day would be camouflaged ! Bright colors help you get noticed in oblivious people's rear or side mirrors ! I was tempted to buy one of those long orange flags you see on the back of ATVs for a while, but I am now used to driving ultra defensively and have the old motorcycle philosophy, "if you are in an accident it is your fault " (not %100 true but a great attitude to adopt )

If you prefer red cars - get a red car- most of the Elise Reds are amazing in person and Red and BR Green are the normal - stock colors for the car

Welcome! I went from a supercharged Celica GTS to an Elise and love it.
