So I just had my dash apart (removed the stereo) and was relocating the HVAC controls to where the headunit used to be. Finally putting it all back together tonight, and when I reconnected all the HVAC controls, the fan speeds don't seem to make sense.

Here's what it's doing, from knob far left to right:
On high, nothing, nothing, on medium

My first search turned up this thread, and my wiring appears correct based on the image at the bottom of page 1:

And here are some pics of the wires/connector I'm talking about:

Anyone know what's wrong? Would love to get the car back together tonight

Also just discovered that the recirc light and AC buttons will switch on only momentarily when pushed. Weird.
Update: now not at all.
Could this be a fuse? The fan speed mix up doesn't make sense for that. I also installed a new deka battery but I don't see how that would affect anything.

I'm baffled but I'm no engineer.

So when you have the blower switch turned in the off position, the blower is on high? The wires have to be mixed up.

I can pull mine off at lunch and look at the location of the wires and post a picture to see if those are indeed correct.
Just for reference here is the wiring diagrams, page 11 (sheet 10):

The recirc light going out is usually attributed to a bad switch pack module and could just be a coincidence that it happened the same time as you working on it.

Thanks Doge, actually got it sorted late last night with a lot of help from another Elise owner and a wiring diagram. I did just have the wires mixed up. Once we found the labels stamped on the switch it was pretty easy.
