So I was replacing my dampers tonight with some new Nitrons and while I was working on the passenger side front wheel I noticed that there was a wire hanging out from somewhere inside the front clam. It looks to me like it's a thermocouple, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know what this is, or where it's supposed to be?

Thanks in advance for the help. I've tried to look at parts diagrams and I've searched the forums for info on thermocouples, but I haven't been able to figure it out.

Not to sound crazy but maybe its the radio antenae wire for the stereo. Have you checked the radio reception lately? The wire runs at the top of the clam though so its a long shot. Although I not sure how it would fall past the radiator and fans. Maybe it is a thermocouple for the radiator fans to switch on though I am not sure how it would become disconnected on its own.

It's definitely the antenna... After your suggestion I searched for the part and found a picture online. So I guess if my reception is ok, then I can just tape it up anywhere.
Glad I could actually help!
