not sure if this is the place to ask but it IS somewhat garage related (i'm creating a motorsport atmosphere). i need ideas on using car parts as everyday items. i've seen glass set on top of a nice rim and used as a table...basically want to expand on that idea. it doesnt have to be a functional item, just to visually trick the eye.

I LOVE the glass-topped engine block used as the coffee table on Top Gear :drool:. I keep saying that I'm going to set one up as soon as the wife lets me have a room in the house where an engine block could be considered furniture as opposed to an eyesore lol.

buy this clock, I think every mechanic shop in the US has one

...and you'd think as many of them as they've sold, they'd have figured out how to make the hands a contrasting color so you could read it from 5 feet away! Ugh! (yes, had one at my last place, and my current roommate has one).
