I just bought an '05 Elise with the following history:

1) front clam was replaced just prior to buying it due to small crack
2) took it to the track yest. and battery accidentally disconnected during session - reconnected no problem

When I press the large button, doors lock.....after 5 seconds I get a continuous high-pitched beep (assuming this is the alarm)

I have already tried resyncing the fob
and I have put the interior light in the down position

any suggestions?

Check the intrusion sensors, specially the front one. Is it being pressed down?

Randy...thanks for the tip - it IS the left front access panel that is triggering the continuous buzz...here is my dilemma

The front clam was replaced with Exige mesh so I can't take the left front access panel completely off. However, after unscrewing the outer part, I can see the sensor...after rescrewing it on tightly, it seems the access panel just doesn't press on the sensor unless I push on it...

Any suggestions...????
