Hey guys I'm new to this site and just recently purchased an 07 Lotus Exige S. I'm from Milton, FL which is near the Pensacola area. I was wondering, I wanted to buy an exhaust for the car, does anyone have any suggestions on what would sound nice and add some power?

Larini for the exhaust and Sector 111 supercharger. Both on my car.
Thanks, that's cool. Do you have a link to the site where you bought the exaust? The one I bought was supercharged from the dealership, so luckily don't need to worry about paying for that. haha
The exhaust will not add any power to your car. It will only change the exhaust sound.
There are LOTS of exhaust options. As RoadDad said, they won't add power, but they definitely change the note.

Keep in mind if you plan on tracking your car, most aftermarket exhausts (and even the Stage II from Lotus) will not pass sound checks at stricter tracks. You may or may not have sound restricted tracks in your area, but it is something to be aware of. Laguna Seca on the West Coast has notoriously low sound limits which cause lots of track junkies grief.

And welcome to the Lotus Family! :D
Price wise and sound wise your best bet is to build your own... There are a few threads on here with custom builds. This thread was started by ERT_308, but I threw in with my stuff as well since we were both doing about the same build at the same time. Build your own exhaust thread. I love the sound with this muffler set up and would highly recommend it.
And for power, there are some pulley and tuning options to increase the power levels of a factory supercharged Lotus. I'd drive it stock for awhile, and if you still feel like you need more then come back here and check out what's available.

...ah, but it can add lightness...
Welcome! Just curious, what does your screen name mean?
Ok thanks for the tips guys. Down here in FL I don't think the sound restrictions are bad. Oh and my screen name is a combination of my initials ARB and my birth year 89 haha. I'll have to do some searching and see what kind of sound I like then. And I will probably keep it stock, minus some little things like exhaust and maybe an intake. Let you know how things go.

p.s. moto44 you like horses?
If your not fussed on Noise Limits, and not fussed on wearing Earplugs for long journeys and not fussed about not being able to get on tracks because of noise levels, then i would suggest a 2ubular GT3 6" bore.

Noisy as f**k

Congratz btw, this thread is worthless without pics ;)

Welcome

Pictures are mandatory!!!

+1 for 2ubular GT3 6" (IF you can handle it) lol

I just got the car, so I will get some pictures of it when it gets here. I can't wait til I can get in it and have some fun. haha Yeah I don't want the car to be too retardedly loud but I do like obnoxious. So I'll check around.

Well here are some pictures of it in the show room, but when I get it I'll put some new ones on.

Hope you like.

Congrats! Welcome to the Exige S family! Just got mine on Monday (and you still posted pics before me - gotta find my cable to hook the digital camera up to the laptop).

Anyway, I didn't know it when I purchased mine, but TJ told me I have a Stage II exhaust on mine. It sounds beautiful (of course, I don't know what the stock one sounds like) - great tone and I don't find it ridiculously loud (a loud exhaust is nice at first, but can get annoying on long trips). Anyway, good luck on your exhaust search.

Btw - I love horses as well. I used to jump, but haven't riden for years. I live too far away from horse country now.
That's cool, we are going to get an aftermarket exhaust on the car and a few carbon fiber things for the nice looks. I love riding my horse though, where do you live? I lived in WV and still found a nice place to train, but nothing like down here in FL. It's funny that I got pictures posted before you, haha, I still don't even have my car. I just have the pictures from the dealership selling it. I'm sure it will be even better in real life, I'm really excited. rotfl
Car looks great, congratulations.
