I've been reading these forums for years on and off, just never made an account. I finally had the chance to own a lotus, so it was time to make an account. This place has so much information I find myself reading it for hours on end.

I'll probably be bugging everyone with questions as time goes on. I'll post videos and photos as I modify and track my 06 Exige S.

I bought the arctic silver Exige from lotustalk member carphoria. Big thanks to carphoria for dealing with delays on the transport pickup.

I recently moved to Sammamish, lived in Bellevue for about 3 years. Good to see someone else is nearby. Do you have any mechanics that you trust? I've heard Cantrell will work on lotus cars, but that is all I know.

Wow, we're pretty much neighbors. I'm sure you'll see me driving around sometime, I take out my Exige daily.

As for mechanics, don't have one. Building cars is my hobby, so aside from welding (so far) I do everything myself.

Cantrell does work on these cars and are very competent. Park Place will work on them too of course, but I'm leery of them for anything other than parts. When they did my oil line recall, they somehow messed up the clam shims and I had to go back to get it better aligned later which to me is an indication of the attention to detail. Ishii Motor Industries will also work on these cars. They are largely a Japanese tuner shop but they do European cars too and are great guys to deal with, but not Lotus specialists.

As far as alignments and suspension work goes, the only choice is Tru-line, IMO. They work on everything exotic. I've not seen the shop without a Porsche being worked on. Not cheap, but great.

Thanks for the recommendations. I agree, True-line is great, I take my daily driver there once a year.

Wow, that is a beautiful car! That is also a lot of "lurking" that you now have to make up for;) You are right about the info here, it's pretty awesome and you can get lost in it.

Stripes will make that Exige faster.... Enjoy it!

Technically, there is no 2006 Exige S. It has to be either a 2007 Exige S, or just a standard 2006 Exige (non-supercharged).
If it's an '06 and supercharged, it was aftermarket.

Yes, you are correct. I want to boost my cars self esteem by making it feel like one of the cool kids who were born with a supercharger. :shift:

That car looks familiar :)

Glad it made it safe and sound. No worries on the delays, it was not hard on the eyes in my garage. My new car arrived a few days later, so we still avoided an overlap.

Enjoy it!!

Nice choice on your new car. At the last HPDE I (briefly) tried to keep up with some seven clones, those things are pretty nuts. I want to see some gopro videos when you got em!
