Spirited drive???

So I've wanted a lotus for a while now. Finally graduated and got a job so now I am looking at purchasing a used Elise next summer. On that note I figure its about time to ride in/test drive one.

So I'm looking for somebody willing to take me on a spirited drive to show me what the Lotus is all about and then possible give me a stab at it.

I just want to know for sure if this is the car for me.

EDIT: Oh yea I'm in the Naperville, IL area.

Have a mod move this to the IL section because you will be able to get a lot more responses that way, and maybe change the title from "hi i'm new" to "spirited drive?".

It is definitely a good idea to go on a ride with a fellow enthusiast, but it is more important for you to go test drive one yourself. Do you have a lotus dealer nearby??
