As posted on the autox topic,

The Hopewell Cruise Night is this Friday, May 2nd. As a supporter of the town of Hopewell, Lotus of Princeton (AKA Sports and Specialists Cars) invites all Lotus owners to attend the festivities along Broad Street, Hopewell, starting about 5:30 PM.

On Cruise Night, stores stay open late, restaurants offer special tasting menus at sidewalk booths, a bluegrass band entertains, and we fill the street with as many great cars as we can.

Steel Wings and Sports and Specialist Cars will offer informal guided tours, free car talk, and some little snacks. We'd love to see everybody. Please pass along the invitation to come visit with us and to sample Hopewell's shops, restaurants and galleries.

As you know, Hopewell is a pretty little village surrounded by terrific driving roads. How nice it would be to have a bunch of Loti adding to the scenery!

No need to RSVP, just show up.

As an added incentive, Ed Kollin, formerly of Exxon-Mobil and now chief scientist of Lubrication Sciences, a specialty lubrication and anti-corrosion laboratory, will be talking at the dealership around nightfall.

Ed was a long-time manager of the engine lab at Exxon...he has a lot to say about lubes for older, flat tappet cam cars, the problems with SM grade oils, and what to do about it. (Even Elises have flat-tappet cams on the "performance" lobes of the camshaft!)

For anyone who can bug out of work early on Friday  we plan to lead an entourage of Lotus Cars into town along the last few miles of our August 2006 Spirited Drive.
:shift:

Meet at the corner of State Route 31 and County Route 579 (Linvale Harbourton Rd) at about 5 PM. Put those coordinates into Google Maps to plan a route...

Or just show up later and park on Broad Street (I'm parking near S&S Cars)

See you there!

If I make it, please wish me and my wife a happy 10th anniversary. If I make it, it may also be my last anniversary. But we are doing something special this weekend, so we'll be there if it's a nice night. Does this mean I have to clean my car? :panic:

If you show up after dark, no one will notice dirt on the car. :D

You can leave your Beloved (err, Wife) watching the Bluegrass Band while we talk Oil...

You know I'm kidding, there's no way I can show up to this on my 10th anniversary night!

It was pretty good. We had short drive, but it was a heck of a drive. definitely some nice roads.

Also learned a lot about oil. More then you would ever want to know, but great knowledge to have. Kudos to Carbuff for putting that together.

Oh yeah, Sports car specialist has some pretty cool Aston's. Wish I could get one.
