Wipe it down, dust it off? Anything special? Tips?
AFTER EVERY DRIVE!

1. I first wash the dust off with distilled water (if Perrier in not available).
This gets the dust off and does not scatch or cause swirls.

2. I use Meguire's Detailing Spray all over the painted surfaces and dry.
Use a Micro-soft towel.
I use a different micro-soft towel for the "Starshield" film surfaces,
since they are dirtier/bugs etc.

3. Wash the wheels: Rinse it with water and dry...OUTSIDE AND INSIDE
to remove brake dust. DON'T LET THE WATER DRY, LEAVES WATER SPOTS!

4. Stoner's "Invisible Glass" spray can for windows.

5. Meguire's "Shine" for the plastic/vinyl/.dash. I use a sponge pad to apply.

6. Vacuum interior

... seriously?

I put it in my garage and say: "meh, I'll wash it later"

"Later" generally means every 6-8 weeks

WOW! What if it's just a 5 minute drive to the grocery store? :mw:

If you mean a weekend group run or drive through the twisties, If it was not unusually dusty or dirty I will let it wait till the next time I wash my car. If It was really muddy or dusty I will rinse the car off and then wash it. I drive the car daily to and from work and wash it normally about every 2 weeks... and usually BEFORE a group drive since we kind of have a little meet and show before the drives.......

Just wait until the car gets really dirty then take some time to wash and wax.
It takes me 4~5 hrs to wash and wax the car so I do it... try to... once a month.
The lesser you wash the car the lesser the swirl/scratch marks...

I usually skip this step due to the fact that I dont have a dash or any other interior but a drivers seat... :D

I also dont really wash it or clean it that much...I did leave it out in the rain yesterday, but that didnt clean it much... Still have grass in it from group drive over a month ago....hell, there is still "red dirt" in whats left of my vents from Arizona and New Mexico from back in February...

In 1.5 years I think I've washed it twice. I was really excited to wash and wax it the first time, then after finishing about 1/2 of the car I realized that Storm Titanium looks just about the same clean or dirty.

Put the cover on it, knocking off the loose stuff. Then the cat sits over the engine, pulling the cover in strange ways with a bit more force, possibly buffing certain areas. Before driving, remove cover, being careful to fling any bat droppings off the cover.

When the car gets too dirty, take it to a charity car wash and donate some money while people tell you that you have the coolest car they've washed all day.

Don't knock the bats - they keep the bugs in check. Don't knock the cat, he eats rodents that might want to take up residence in the Elise.

I carry a spray bottle of water in the trunk.

Spray off the gunk on the sides.

Get home?

Wash, dry, and car cover.

I'd rather ler her do it though.
