I ask because the conventional wisdom on the boards seems to be to have a visual inspection by someone familiar with Lotus cars. But scary articles out there talk about a 2mm chassis height difference from the front to the back of the chassis. Can someone really see that visually ?

And honestly, any chassis damage would probably be a total loss with the age of the cars now(elise/exige). Can't imagine something like that not show up in a carfax report or other history reports. Majority, if not all of us wouldn't want to keep our lotus that way and would hope for a total loss. I wouldn't worry about it too much. GLWS.

We talk about ride height differences when setting up the car for race course use.

If the chassis on a lotus is bent it should 99% of the time be easy to see as it is all aluminum and it will kink.

OK, I kind of suspected this issue wasn't the magnitude I was fearing.
Thanks for the feedback.

I'll just go forward with the search and use common sense as applicable.
