Bought my 05 used. When I went to look at it, I brought my buddy with me, because HE bought his Ardent Red 05 new. Yes, he still has it.

Took delivery of mine in December 2004. Car has around 33k miles now. It has taught me so much and keeps on giving.

Flirted with selling it once but plan to keep it forever.

Still got mine 2005 Elise after 11 years of ownership. It's only got 10,000 miles on the odometer. Car is driven every weekend. One of the most fun and reliable car in my stable. :grin2:

I will have had mine for 15 years in a few weeks. Car serial number was in the low 300s. Any of the original owners still here and have their cars? Ancient Wedgie, glb?

Do they still have the meets in Chatham? My one brother moved to FL too, but my other one lives in Andover. Drove down 206 the other day to NewBrunswick hoping to see you driving around. Im up in Vermont this week but will be back in Nj next weekend but not sure where since I havent gotten my nephews football game schedule yet.
My friends cousin told me that his neighbor who was a friend of yours that had the Elise and the Cobra passed a few years ago ?

Yeah, that was Lee. He had a lot of cars, including a 2 liter 200+ hp Elan and gorgeous Elite S1.

More Power, Mods, & less weight

Still have my 2005.

Doubled the power, decreased the weight, even lighter than 2005 weight including adding the heavy supercharger. Increased down-force, still going strong!

Still have parts in the basement waiting for winter to continue the seasonal upgrades.

:smile2:

I will say the upgrades for the Elige on LotusTalk seemed to be slowing down. :crying:

In the same boat...

Plunked my $1k deposit back on February 8th 2004 at the Chicago Auto Show... over twelve years ago...

Hell I was in my 30's... now I've just entered my 50's... Holy Crap! :)
Just turned 55 (me, not the Elise >:) ) over the weekend - still going strong! :)

Put my deposit down in February 2003 after driving a black with red interior Rover powered Elise that was in Houston for the autoshow. I met my future wife about 6 months after the deposit and told her what I did, her only request was that I get a color she'd look hot in! All my buddies told me that she was a keeper. I took delivery at the end of December 2004.

Still have my Elise and just installed the GRP led tail lights. The modding will never end!

Still have the car. Took surprise delivery (story in another thread) in November 2005. Drove it a bunch in sunny NorCal until 2010, stored it 3 years while overseas, moved back to Virginia and got reacquainted with it, now living in Wisconsin. As you can see, we've continued to move to locations with shorter and shorter driving seasons, but we'll never sell it. About 45,000 miles on it now, including one Sonoma Raceway trackday, one Thunderhill trackday, a CA-WI trip, and a couple of WI-OH trips, all with very minimal fuss. Had the car 8 years before having first kid, and happy to report both youngsters love "The Green Race Car." We deactivated the airbags so a Recaro kid seat could be belted in and anchored to the harness bar--they've been enthusiasts since very young.

Got mine around November 2004. About 135,000 miles and still going strong. I'm getting pretty old but the car seems to stay forever young. Hoping to reach 200,000 miles before passing it on to my kids.

Picked up my ‘05 in December 2004. It’s been my three-season daily driver since. About 52,000 miles now, mostly short work commutes, local twistys, and errands/shopping, but a number of long trips. Even brought home an 8’ step ladder in it. Will never sell it. An extension of my nervous system.

Got mine in August '04 and still have it. It is one of the first 10 or so delivered to customers.

I'm the first registered owner of my 2007, even thought it was a dealer demo driven around for about a year before I bought it. Does that count? :) I can't imagine ever selling this car. It's been the most fun street and track car ever.
