Wondering how the access is or any special tools, requirements to do things like replacing rotors and pads, sparkplugs, oil changes, filters etc ... I'm hoping I can get do all the routine stuff myself

Any general comments on engine access are also appreciated

Just need a basic set of sockets/ratchet/wrenches, floor jack/rhino ramps, torque wrench, allen/torx bits/wrenches and that's about it. An electric drill/impact always helps too. You basically have to pull off the aluminum pans underneath for even basic stuff like oil changes, the car is easy to work on.

Great, was hoping to hear that. I'm not poor, but not rich either and just enjoy doing regular work by myself

Looks like I'll be buying my Dentist's 2005 Elise a few months from now!

You might as well, you've already paid him for it!
