An interesting way to find twisty roads is using the Garmin Mapsource GPS software. The City Navigator NT maps have most roads in the US... and you can create routes right in the software. I usually pick a starting and ending point, use aviodances to limit the route to smaller roads, add a few via points and let the system design a route for me. With new Garmin GPS units, you can upload the route, and prevent the system from doing recalculations, so it will follow the route. Very nice for a bit of testing.
