Hey all,

I'm George and most of you won't know me but I lurk here quite often. I post a lot on SELOC and PistonHeads as "Esprit". I'm from New Zealand and I have an Exige S1.

I'm currently (for the next week and a half) staying in College Station, TX for work so just wanted to say hi to you all. It's the first time I've been to the states and I'm enjoying it quite a bit so far. The famed "southern hospitality" certainly has exceeded expectations so far and of the people I've met they all do your state and nation proud.

Anyone have any pointers as to what to do in the way of sightseeing in the area if I end up with a free day in the weekend? I've already been for a few runs around the gorgeous Texas A&M campus. Boy I wish my old university was that cool! :)

Welcome:wave:

You can check out Texas World Speedway for upcoming events. Not sure if their Motorsports Club event is on this weekend or not. If so, there might be a few Lotus cars there, one the guys races a Europa S1 and a 1970 Lotus Seven S4,and some stray Elise/Exiges might show up as well.

They also have some race prepped MX5 for rent; not sure what condition they are in. Here is there website and contact info.

Thanks guys, I drive past this every day from my apartment in College Station to the site I'm working at near Navasota. I'll definitely add it to my list of things to see, especially if I end up with a part of this weekend free :)
