Gang,

I just recieved this letter from my dealer Hunting Ridge Motors. Have a look at this.

Hello to all our Lotus Friends,

We are proud to announce that Nick Adams, Vehicle Development Manager of Lotus Engineering will be visting with us after we all get back from Barber Motor Sport park in Birmingham, Alabama. We will be test driving the US Spec Elise at Barber and bringing one back with us for the New York Auto show. Please come join us on Saturday April 3rd between 4 and 8pm to meet Nick and have all your questions answered from the man himself. Also, it will be the first chance for most of you to actually see a US spec Elise.
Nick joined Lotus back in 1986 as a Development Engineer. He is the one responsible for the development US spec Elise and is in charge of the Federal Elise Program. Nick is also one of the instructors at the acclaimed Lotus Driver Experience training program. He is a life long Lotus enthusiast and owns several Lotus Vintage race cars which he has campaingned and won several Historic Sports Car Club championships in.
I am sure you will enjoy meeting him and hearing all about what is in store for you with your new Lotus Elise. We will be serving drinks and appetizers so please come and join us.

I will happily plug this dealer all I can:)

Nick is a great guy.

He used to answer questions on a factory Lotus board like this until it took too much of his time and he had to quit doing that.

Great source of technical information on all things Elise :)

Just remember that he can not always be objective as he works for Lotus, so can never say that another/aftermaktet product is better than the version sold by Lotus themselves...

Bye, Arno.
I can add to the vote that Mark is a great guy and a great guy to do business with. I'm on the waiting list at HRM despite living in VA as I've dealt with Mark on a previous Ferrari purchase.
I got the letter as well and plan on attending... I heard the wicked weasel bikini models have also been invited:D
Mark Starr is a true Lotus enthusiast. I demoed the 111S at HRM last summer. I might just make the trip down to the auto show. He will also be at LRP for the Lotus day in November. He owns a great racing Exige.
I too spoke to Mark and got myself invited. About two months ago I was calling around to try and find a CO Esprit to see if I liked the color. Mark had one and met me at his warehouse. Really helpful to me even though I did not order my Elise through him. Live and learn. Should we all have some way of identifying the other Elise Talk junkies, like a yellow and green carnation or carrying around a torque wrench?:)
It's great to hear positive things about the various dealers, both the dealers and buyers benefit from the knowledge!
