So yesterday, I had to fish a camera cable, usb, and audio cable through the aluminum footwell divider because the plastic screws just kept on spinning. Couldn’t get em out. That pretty much sucked. Took. Way longer than expected. Also extended the cigarette lighter cable for a 12v charging bank going on the rear shelf.

I decided I wanted to carpet the interior. I must have lost my mind. What a huge pita! I’m no longer a twenty year old kid. Folding myself into the footwell sucked! Got the passenger side finished as far as the tub goes (still plan to carpet under the seats which should be easy). Soooo not looking forward to climbing under the steering wheel and dealing with carpeting around the footrest on the drivers side! But once that’s done, I can put the interior back together! Woo-hoo!

Are you carpeting above and below the aluminum trim or just going up from it? Lotus never went as far as you did no the bottom, probably because they did not want to crawl in there either! Lotus uses hook/loop rectangles spaced along the length, so it can be easily removed/installed.

Nope just the top. My stock carpet on the bottom extends all the way to the front firewall. Drivers side only goes as far as the aluminum trim. Since I’m not covering the footwell divider, decided not to delete the trim. I’m really digging the stripe and how it ties in the divider and ridged plates in front of the seats.
