I put my thou down at Overseas motors 1 year ago and was told I was

I think you should find a dealer that is selling cars at MSRP right now. There was one in Texas that had three cars on the floor for sale at MSRP a few weeks ago.

I'm not sure how your dealer handles the numbers, but at every other dealer I've heard of they quote the order positions the same as they go. So even though they've delivered 9 cars, you are still order #34 and will be getting car #34, which should be the 25th car to come now. Nothing to be upset over here.

Yep, that's the way it works at several dealers I've talked to.

Gerry, just call them up and ask them - I assume this is much ado about nothing.

Yeah, I know FVMC decided not to keep moving the positions down as they sold cars. It was too complicated. So now we just hold our spot, but something like the first 40 spots are delivered. So if you are 41 or so, you are next in line. Ask your dealer how he handles it. I'm guessing you misunderstood how they hanlde it.

My dealer told me last week that I'd gone down 'a few' spots, but not as many as I expected honestly. From our conversation, I gathered that they are placing orders as Lotus gives them spots to order and cars are coming in from Lotus as they ordered, but Lotus is also shipping some extra cars here and there for whatever reason.

it seems the others on previous posts are probably right. just call your dealer, so you can relax.

i'm still #23 at Sports & Specialist Cars, and i've been told mine will be built in december, delivered in january. i was originally told 4th qtr back in march when we spec'd the car, so it's kinda close!

incase your dealer is messing with you, i believe some of S&SC's cars were available (when clients were unable to go thru with the final sale for whatever reason), see ramsey. also, i'm sure other dealers are offering cars for similar reasons, so just call around.
